‍The Capital City Wind Ensemble - the CCWE - is the City employee band of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

‍It was founded by the legendary Max Metzger in 2002, and consists of City of Saint Paul and Ramsey County employees and retirees, plus other Downtown Saint Paul workers, and a few friends, too.

‍The 22-member group plays concerts at the Saint Paul City Hall and Ramsey County Courthouse, at the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, and various parks around the city. Contact Mary Livingston if you'd like the CCWE to play for your event.

‍The group has been led by Mary Livingston and Roger Grupp since the fall of 2006. Mary is a retiree from the Parks and Recreation Department, and Roger is a Public Works retiree.

Rehearsals at Mounds Park Church continue on Thursdays at 11:30.

We have handful of concerts scheduled. Our next is 2:00, July 7, at Cerenity Humboldt.

The CCWE is looking for a french horn player. (We now have flugelhorns playing the Horn 1 and 2 parts.) Another clarinet and an oboe would be nice, too. A Bari sax or bass clarinet would also be welcome, However, any and all new players are welcome! Contact Mary if you're interested.
